Rules of Conduct

This site creates an ongoing dialogue on transparency, participation, collaboration, and innovation in the PRA information collection activities in the U.S. Department of the Treasury.  Specifically, to increase public participation using social media technology instead of the Federal Register Notice process to obtain public comments on information collection activities.  Through this participation, Treasury anticipates public participation will result in a decrease of the paperwork burden on the public by simplification or elimination of information collections, fillable-filable forms, or less frequent reporting.

We want to hear from you on how you think we could improve on our information collection activities that are expiring and scheduled for extension.  Your comments are important to us and we encourage your ideas. In order to foster a productive dialogue, we ask that you follow our posting ground rules.

The Rules of Conduct are intended to support open discussion while ensuring a respectful exchange of ideas.  Review the rule before you enter the comment section of the site.  We reserve the option to remove your comments and ideas if they include any of the following:
  • Threatening, slanderous or obscene language
  • Personal attacks
  • Discriminatory language (including hate speech) based on race, national origin, age, gender, sexual orientation, religion or disability
  • Sexually explicit material and other material that would violate the law if published here
  • Ideas or comments that promote services or products
  • Repetitive posts (for example, if you submit the same idea multiple times)
  • Embedded media, such as videos or photos (hyperlinks to such media are OK)
  • Spam or undecipherable language (gratuitous links will be viewed as spam)
  • Copyright infringement

Treasury does not guarantee or warranty that the information posted by individuals on the PRAComment site is correct, and disclaims any liability for any loss or damage resulting from reliance on any such information.
